On Saturday 8th May, a group of singers from around the UK will sing together in the grounds of the Tower of London. The singers are all choir leaders that are members of ‘Project Get Singing’s’ parent organisation ‘MDBrunch’ and the event is designed to model best practice for rehearsals once lockdown measures continue to ease in Step 3 of the government’s Road Map, no earlier than Monday 17th May.
The event will be made extra-special by being hosted by the Tower of London as they begin promoting visits for their planned reopening on Wednesday 19th May.
Over the lockdown periods, groups such as MDBrunch have been a source of reassurance and community for choir leaders across the nation and even further afield, and it was from this community that Project Get Singing was born. For some members of MDBrunch, this event will present a great chance for friendships that have grown on Zoom and social media to move into the real world!
