Harriet Harman proposes plan for UK musicians to tour EU post-Brexit

On Tuesday 16th March, the Guardian reported that Labour MP Harriet Harman has proposed a plan for UK musicians to tour EU post-Brexit.


Since leaving the EU, British musicians working in Europe now require separate visas for up to 90 days at a time, and these are prohibitively expensive, particularly when it comes to one off engagements such as recitals, workshops or competitions.


Following a trading off of blame between the UK Government and the EU, we have been left at an impasse which is stifling the work of many musicians from both sides of the channel.
