Members of The Swingles will take you through your vocal and creative paces, open the floor up to some Q&A and anecdotes from the life of a Swingle and finally we will practice and perform one of their arrangements!  You will be given a licensed copy of the music that we sing on the day!

Workshop Content:
- "Singing with Swagger" - Swagger (v): - to hold oneself in a confident manner
By the end of this workshop you will learn how to take the stage and command audiences through authentic emotional expression and how to do it with swagger.

​

- "Beating the Blank Page" - Getting started with songwriting and arranging
Using fun games and exercises to kick-start creativity, you’ll write original music and lyrics in a matter of minutes with tips and tricks covering every stage of the arrangement process from choosing a song to formatting your score.

- Q&A with The Swingles - you can ask anything from definitions of jazz chords to anecdotes and insights into the life of a Swingle

​

- Learn and Sing with The Swingles - Perform an original Swingles song, "Burden"

Things to know:

- The seating is NOT allocated, arrive early!
- The venue is entirely accessible
- Ticket prices include booking fees and are transferable.  Refunds incur a 50% admin fee.  Live tickets restricted 16 and over.
- This workshop will be recorded BUT ONLY AVAILABLE TO VIEW FOR ONE WEEK AFTER THE EVENT.  The organisers will capture some audio and visual media for promotional purposes (please make yourself known to us at the door if you do not wish to be filmed).
